Advocacy

Advocacy Committee is responsible for identifying (with the approval of the President/Board) and facilitating opportunities for the PAMPI membership to become involved with government issues and educating the public.
Ambassador Club
Leader(s): Pat Thierry, Chair
Ambassador Club is responsible for meeting and greeting attendees at all Chapter functions. They provide a source of general information and create monthly “ice breakers”.
Awards

Awards Committee will focus on the yearly award criteria planning, voting and distribution of our Chapter awards, as well as scholarship programs.
Awards Gala

The Awards Gala Committee plans and manages all aspects of the Awards Gala. Bring your creativity and the ability to have fun!
CMP Study Group

CMP Study Group coordinates the study course programs held each fall and spring to prepare participants for the semi-annual CMP exam. The committee plans the schedule and organizes the site-selection and facilitators.
Community Outreach

Community Outreach Committee is responsible for identifying and facilitating opportunities for the membership to involve themselves in activities benefiting Philadelphia area charities and institutions. While in the past the committee has assisted numerous charitable organizations, this year we are planning to develop strong, steady relationships with three charities. As a committee member, you can help choose the direction for the coming year.
Education Institute

Education Institute Committee coordinates the annual day-long education program and tradeshow held in the spring.
Fall Fundraiser

Fall Fundraiser Committee is responsible for planning all aspects of a fundraiser in the fall, such as a silent auction or casino night.
Leadership Development

The Leadership Development Committee is responsible for helping our chapter members grow into leadership positions.
Magazine

Magazine Committee produces and manages MPI to Eye, the Chapter’s magazine that is published 4 times a year. Provide your time and talent to help solicit members to write relevant articles, gather newsworthy items, and industry updates. Interact with the Website Committee to create call-to-action solicitations, reader response, and timely articles. If you have always had a nose for news, this is your committee!
Membership Recruitment

Membership Retention and Recruitment provides ongoing communication with members to ensure Chapter programs and professional benefits are provided through our Chapter’s activities and projects. In addition, these committees develop the annual recruitment campaign.

Monthly Programs

Monthly Programs Committee provides interesting and cutting-edge programs for monthly educational meetings, including guest speakers and activities designed for the professional development of our membership.

The MPI After 5 Committee is responsible for planning 2-3 networking events.
Nominating

Nominating Committee will focus on soliciting and interviewing future board members and creating the slate for the following year.
P3 Sponsorship/Advertising

P3 Sponsorship and Venue Procurement Group is responsible for consolidation all of the Chapter’s request for Sponsorship, Site Selections, Partnerships, etc. into one comprehensive strategic business development plan so that we are able to raise more funds to benefit our members.
Past Presidents' Advisory Council

Past Presidents’ Advisory Council is made up of past chapter presidents and they work on special chapter projects.
Public Relations/Marketing
Leader(s): Michele Ross, CMP, Chair
Public Relations/Marketing communicates Chapter activities and meetings industry news to our industry peers, general public and the media via our website, newsletter and press releases. Specifically, Public Relations will maintain the relationships with the Philadelphia Business Journal and the Philadelphia Inquirer to ensure that our monthly meetings and special events are publicized. Additional PR and Marketing is to increase member awareness of services and benefits available through MPI Headquarters, and to assist in promotional efforts of international events on the Chapter level.
Roundtables/Fresh Start

This committee will contact all new members to welcome them to the Chapter and also heads the new member orientation sessions and retention program. They also plan the topics and speakers for the roundtable sessions held prior to each monthly meeting.
Spring Fundraiser

Spring Fundraiser Committee is responsible for planning a spring fundraising event, such as a bowling outing.
Student Affairs

Student Affairs Committee focuses on the extension of our Chapter membership into the community to students, academics teaching hospitality/meeting planning related courses and mid-career professionals to assist their understanding of and development within the industry.

Venue Procurement is responsible for securing venues for the chapters programs and events.
Website & Social Media

Website & Social Media Committee is responsible for updating and maintain the current site to ensure we are meeting our members news needs, calendar and job bank etc., as well as tracking and managing all our social media outlets to ensure they are current and timely, such as Facebook, twitter, I-Meet and other outlet deemed appropriate.
